Dear friends and fellow adventurers,
Thank you for all of your messages, letters, Whats App texts, and comments. I know I haven’t had much time to answer you or your questions regarding my latest adventures, but I have read them all and send my love right back to you.
And yes, I miss blogging, too. Vegas has kept me insanely busy these past few weeks.
First, I celebrated my one-year anniversary of hosting videos for USA Today at the 2014 iHeart Radio Music Festival weekend. I am proud to say I probably had some of my best interviews that weekend…
…while also simultaneously experiencing one of my worst celebrity encounters (don’t worry, that HORRIFYING post is coming soon)…
and danced my bass off with Meghan Trainor.
Then came the Route 91 Harvest Festival, where I reunited with some familiar faces. (Watch the video HERE).
The next weekend I got a little tipsy on Train’s Save Me San Francisco wine with guitarist Jimmy Stafford, talked songwriting with Kevin Griffin of Better Than Ezra and watched Michael Franti perform from backstage while the moon hung on the horizon. It was one of my favorite weekends of the year thus far. (Watch our Wine Amplified coverage HERE.)
Then my dog died. She was only seven.
And that brought insurmountable change along with the season.
And now I’m preparing for my pre-birthday trip to Nashville.
Things are happening at such a fast pace, it’s been hard to keep up. I feel dizzy sometimes by the constant running and deadlines. But I do want you to know I am reading your messages. I appreciate the time you’re giving me. You inspire me, and every day I’m gathering more stories to tell.
And for the first time in a long time, I’m really excited to share them.
I feel this trip to Nashville will bring with it a new chapter. Or possibly a new book of my life. I’m starting to call this new age of my journey, “The Writing Sessions.” And all I can say thus far is the Universe is responding to my call in a BIG way.
So get the camp fire and s’mores ready. This blogging biatch is back. Hope you’re ready to share in some more adventuring. :)
